It Started with I Do

No Cold Feet was founded by husband and wife team Matt and Mari in 2016, but the light bulb moment happened two years prior, when the couple got engaged and Matt could not find the right shade of green, stylish socks to punch up his standard black-and-white tux anywhere. Matt thought it should be easier to purchase fun, affordable socks that were full of personality but took comfort and craftsmanship seriously. When he shared his business idea with Mari, she said, “Great idea, babe!” but didn’t think much more of it, until…

An Idea Gains Its Footing

Matt couldn’t stop thinking about socks. So together, he and Mari jumped feet first into launching their business (Mari even came up with the name)! No Cold Feet started out in their two bedroom home in 2017, but as the team grew and their sock inventory multiplied, they needed more than a room filled floor-to-ceiling with socks allowed. They moved into their first office space in 2019. All these years later, No Cold Feet is still kicking, making eye-catching socks that pull a whole look together, no matter the occasion.

November 2014

Mari and Matt get engaged.

August 2015

Matt is underwhelmed by the not-so-wide world of socks and thinks, “There has to be a better way.”

November 2015

Mari and Matt get married. He ends up wearing a pair of bright green argyle socks he found on his wedding day. (The socks are just fine—but fine isn’t good enough.)

December 2016

After two years of Matt telling Mari that he can make the sock buying experience for weddings better, they start their business. Mari even comes up with the name.

June 2017

Nocoldfeet.co launches online, and Matt and Mari begin shipping Etsy orders out of their two-bedroom Chicago townhome. There are so many socks everywhere, they can’t even see their floors.

October 2019

No Cold Feet moves out of its parents’ home and into its own office space in Lincoln Park, Chicago.

June 2021

How quickly you’ve grown! No Cold Feet moves into a space three times larger in Northbrook, IL.

October 2021

We launch our Amazon storefront to serve even more customers looking for fun, elegant socks to buy for their wedding.

November 2021

No Cold Feet appears in Forbes Magazine as one of the best groomsmen gifts to buy. Thousands and thousands of customers agree.

January 2024

We expand yet again into a warehouse and office space that’s twice as big as our previous one.

September 2024

Our brand new peacock logo calls for an updated mission: to help you put your best foot forward, no matter the occasion.
